YMCA Survivor Camp
- All campers at the YMCA Survivor Camp will learn how to apply these four core values:
- Caring
- Honesty
- Respect
- Responsibility
- YMCA Survivor Camp is open to ages 5-12 years of age. We also have a counselor in training program open to teens ages 13-15 years of age.
- YMCA Survivor Camp will begin May 30, 2006 through August 4, 2006. The hours are from 8am - 6pm. Early drop off may be arranged before 8:00am. for an additional charge of $5.00 per week.
- YMCA Survivor Camp will begin at 9:00am with morning devotion leading into our daily activities. The YMCA will be closed of July 4, 2006.
- YMCA Survivor Camp will have a different theme each week.
- Swimming everyday
- Full-time or Part-time status
- Experienced staff
- Safe environment
- Members - $65.00 a week
- Potential Members - $75.00 a week
- Registration Fee - $20.00
- Counselor in Training - $30.00 a week
- If you are a member of the YMCA After School Program you get 50% off of the registration fee.
- If your child comes less than 3 days a week you will only be charged a part time fee of $15.00 per day.
- Rates include: snacks, lunch, arts & crafts, swimming, most field trips, and much more.
- Offering high quality, affordable Summer Day Camp is our top priority. Financial assistance is also available for those who qualify. Come by the YMCA to fill out an application. We also accept ABC vouchers for Summer Camp.

What's Happening Each Week?
May 30
- Fear Factor Week - Kick off of Fun and Games.
June 5
- The Great Outdoors - We will learn the fundamentals of camping, and have an all night camp out on Friday.
June 12
- Adventures in Nature - The campers will learn how to survive in the natures around us and take a trip to Edventures Museum.
June 19
- Animal Planet - The campers will learn about different species of animals and take a trip to Holly Wild Zoo.
June 26
- The World We Live In - We will sample foods from all around the world and take a trip to the York Museum.
July 3
- My Home Town - Learning about the history of Union. We will take trips to the Union Museum and Rose Hill for a tour and cook out. (Closed July 4th.)
July 10
- Fun In The Sun Week - A fun week of wacky water games. On Friday we will go bowling.
July 17
- Sports Camp - We will learn about different sports and take a trip to the Carolina Panthers Training Camp.
July 24
- Hawaiian Week - Campers will enjoy some summer fun and we will end the week with a luau by the pool.
July 31
- Back To School Splash - Time to say goodbye! We will end the summer with bowling, skating, and much much more!!!
- Parents do not have to pay anything if their children attend summer camp on a full-time basis. Part-time children will need to pay for the trip separate.

Each day of summer camp will roughly follow the same time schedule. The weekly activities will vary based on the week's theme. This is a typical week. If scheduled, field trips will be taken on Fridays; parents will be notified ASAP of time, place, and cost. *Please note: That we do not give out snacks; they need to bring. Lunch is provided!
